First Presbyterian Church

The congregation of this historic church near downtown Paw Paw had a goal of expanding their facilities to better serve their members and the community. A major concern in expanding was that all areas be made accessible to the handicapped. The 7,500 s.f. addition doubled the size of the building within a restricted site. It serves to link all floor levels through both a lift and ramp. The primary space of the addition is a Fellowship Hall with adjoining Kitchen.

These facilities are also made available to the community. The project also included a new Narthex, Lounge and Library spaces and remodeling to the existing Offices and Classrooms. Structural, mechanical and electrical upgrades to the existing building have ensured that this Church will be able to serve its community for many years. Detailing and massing of the addition complements the existing Sanctuary wing and unifies the composition of the overall facility.
